taking inspiration from aristocratic frenchies of the eighteenth century while drafting pattern for new khaki jacket project thing, particularly drawing reference to the shape of the back paneling. thinking about mixing in drawstrings, maybe a hood to fresh it up.

but how did you know how big each pattern was?
ReplyDeleteyou just get your measurements, and then scale everything to the shoulder seam and waist measurements. i fucked around a little with the actual dimensions of the pattern though, but the overall idea was taking the justaucorps, and completely skewing it.
